Grating and Obnoxious

There's effort involved, even though in essence it's a slideshow with a narration, but the thing that kills this piece is how annoying it is. WHoever voiced the spider is annoying. When he really speaks up, the microphone clips, resulting in terrible sound quality. The sound is already taking up a huge amount of space. Another problem is that it's not even funny. It's just annoying.

Mek1985 responds:

come on, you have to have at least chortled (lol) at Dave Thomas

Well, this time around...

The pacing was a lot slower. The last movie was quick-paced and a lot of fun. This one had a lot of dialogue, and it took a long time to get through as well. The dialogue scene failed to hold my interest, but you're such a great fluid animator! You should make an original series that isn't based on Newgrounds at all! You really do need a voice actor for the Clock Killer, and it's kind of depressing that there will only be 3 episodes, even though I love Clocks.

Tightropeman responds:

I aimed for a slower pacing, and I personally like it, I know after the first episode people may have been expecting some side scrolling mindless action with a sword, but I decided on a change because people wanted to see more views etc.

Why do people like clocks?

Why? Because it's a piece of fruit, or vegetable, or convienence item...with a clock on it!!!!!! That's hilarious man, and I feel sorry for anyone who can't see the humor in that.

The Clock Crew doesn't make meatheads with no talent for flash submit bullshit into the portal. Many of their movies are really funny and some of them are excellent.

Many anti-clock people don't have the animation skills to say that clocks suck. You do though. It was really good, with awesome fight sequences and great music. A well acted voice for the Clock Killer could not have hurt, and multi angles for the camera would have helped mix it up, but for the most part, it was quality. Man...
I think an animator like yourself could appreciate at least some of the great clock movies around. YOu disappoint me.

Tightropeman responds:

I did apologise about that little fact, there are some good quality clock movies out there (animation wise), the bit at the beginning was just for drama, nothing more, meant as a humourous potshot to a lot of the people who submit clock movies that aren't very good

Make a dating sim.

Your characters have become so lovable in that evil sense, and the return of them makes me so happy. And I just had this great idea.

I think that you should make a Miss Dynamite dating sim. The characters are really attractive. Judging by the audience's last poll for this episode,(seduce that dude) everyone wants to see the two characters in cute outfits and acting all bubbly Not like they'd have to. They could just be mean, like they usually are. It would be the most challenging dating simulator ever.

Is this the worst idea that anyone has ever given you? :) yeah...well, still keep it in mind. What do you say?

Sirkowski responds:

Nah, I've been wanting to make a dating sim, or a parody of one, for a while. There's just no time. But it's still in my plans.

Popular for wrong reasons.

This flash is almost as insensitive as some of the reviews for Bassclock's movie. Sometimes, a person is devoid of any compassion, perhaps because he/she has never had a similar experience, or perhaps he's just an asshole. In either case, to encourage acts of violence against a person is just wrong. There seems to be a following of people intent on "killing" these two losers. But if you check the profile of Karuma or whatever, you just find out that he's a little 13 year old, and probably is too immature to realize how hurtful his words can be.

It's good that you're trying to invoke compassion into people, but I say that you're going about it completely the wrong way.

As for the movie, it's average. The animation is okay, and the portrayals of asshole 1 and asshole 2 is entertaining. I find the message a bit disturbing though.

Lordbenny responds:

You are quite right. However, I'd argue that you seem to be interpreting this in ways that it was not aimed.

It was not aimed to be sensitive.
I'm not trying to say "Kill people who say horribly offensive things."

I'm trying to say "These two fucks said some not cool shit and it pissed me and a hell of a lot of other people off."

Metaphore.

It was okay

Is it just me, or is this going to go over the head of the average Newgrounds viewer? Myself included, I understood what you were saying, and it's great that you understand how you feel about life, but I haven't been preached to about philosophy like that since I beat Metal Gear Solid 2.

Your constant cameos and ending were probably meant to keep the potentially brooding subject matter light, and to an extent it works. But sometimes, I was confused, and had to ask myself, "Is he being serious or is he just goofing around?" Of course you weren't goofing around, otherwise you'd have made it a lot shorter, right? Right?...

Different isn't bad, but either it was a little too different, or just not well done. You get points for putting together a coherent piece of flash with some depth though.

Da-Dinictus responds:

Truly, the only things I did good around with, was that comic relief I inserted. Yes, I was fully aware I might scare off the regular angsty, testosteron driven bigoted and bullied NG user (stereotype Dark-aura Clock hater), but I wanted to reach to the more intellectual users. And, thankfully, I succeeded in doing so. Thank you for your extensive reviews. Frankly, I wished more people would take their time to give their oppinions on a movie like this...

At least these sprites were fluent in movement.

And you made fun of that one dude, who can't make his sprites move fluently. You're not getting originality points, but the voices were pretty funny and the HacoreRD part was funny. Other than that, nothing special. I got a chuckle.

TheGoldCrow responds:

.......Fluent is good

What an inventive idea!

This is a great claymation movie. It has a story, and it was hilarious. I thought the audio was okay for this one, it was far better acted than your bar fight. If you could just improve the image quality for the flash, it would be the perfect claymation. Great job.

Knox responds:

thank you rooster!

People piss me off

They save a stupid, jerky animation with video game sprites and a rock. Terrible. And credit your audio artists, for God's sake.

Naz-Pierce responds:

And people like you piss me off. Apparently you forget that all humans aren't perfect and were all FORGETFUL!!!!!. I'll put them down since I forget and I AM SOOO SORRY I am Human.

As much fun as watching someone play a video game

You know that feeling you get when your homey is playing this really neat game, and doing all those cool flippy moves and stuff, and you want to play, but he/she won't let you. That's kind of what this flash movie is like. Next time, why don't you let us play the game, rather than show a movie of it. Think of how cool that would be.

Liorana responds:

because i don't know how to make game :s.... i would like to know but i can't find any goof tutorial
sorry
